Pair of Rare Glass Brass Sconces Mod. 1636, Italy, 1960
Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, Italy, 1960
Pair of large Max Ingrand Fontana Arte sconces model #1636, Italy, 1960.
Formidable pair of 15.7" large wall lights in brass and acid-etched (blinded) shield-form reflector shades.
These shades are a bit more blue and dark in appearance than usual. The glass shows the typical beautiful design like any piece from Max Ingrand, with elegant lines and in excellent condition.
The brass mounts are handmade cast pieces in which the shades are being slid into.
We left the original patina intact but could also polish it if requested. Gently cleaned and in very good original condition.
We gave them some new old sockets from porcelain and brass. One large bulb per light (e26/27 with 60 watts max).
Dimensions are 15.74“ x 7.87“ x 2.75“
