About us
The gallery DERIVE has been founded in 2011 in Vienna and we have been a destination for collectors, designers and architects around the world ever since. We have also been working with 1stdibs for the last 13 years. Our gallery specializes in an eclectic mix of post war design and distinct, outside the box pieces. We do only sell original pieces, carefully sourced, curated and refurbished if necessary or requested. We have an in-house workshop with experienced co-workers and we offer all sorts of customizations. Since we come from an architectural background we can help adjusting the pieces to your spatial givens and/or help with styling requests.
Our inventory comprises important works from Modernism to Mid-Century to Contemporary furniture classics. We sell manufacturers and designers like Fontana Arte (Max Ingrand, Pietro Chiesa), Gino Sarfatti, Ettore Sottsass, Lobmeyr, Bakalowits, Sciolari, B&B Italy, Arredoluce, Arteluce, Stilnovo, Memphis Design, Superstudio, Maison Jansen, Zanotta, Karl Springer, Eilleen Gray, Jean Perzel etc. Make sure to follow us (newsletter) and receive a weekly glimpse of our latest findings.
About you
If you are an interior designer, architect or individual buyer and interested in one of our items or you want to place an order you may contact us by email or phone or use the save function that gives you the opportunity to collect and inquire about multiple items at a time. We are accustomed to working in the process of interior designs and worked with all the major designers in the US throughout the last couple of years. We favor a close and and communicative work ethos at the gallery with all our clients and can provide additional photos, videos and information to help you better understand the items material, scale, dimension or condition. We accept all major credit cards or bank-transfer (in $ or €). We have a US bank-account and work with Wise.
Shipping
We offer worldwide shipping with expert packing and shipping services. From crating larger pieces to boxing smaller, delicate ones, we can provide you with professional methods to receive your items safe and sound. We have shipped thousands of items worldwide without a dent in our expertise of packaging- we do also have an in-house insurance that applies to all items free of charge.
