Very well preserved convertible double-seat sofa by Karl Wittmann in original condition. The 'Atrium' was produced in the same era and style as many modular designs such as the De Sede DS88 from Switzerland. Normally these are destined to have been rather worn out throughout the last 50 years, whereas this piece hasn't. The rich, brown leather is still in wonderful condition with no major blemishes, a beautiful patina. The solid steel backrest is fully wrapped in leather and prevents the backrest cushions from displacing. The foam core also is in very sturdy condition with many years lying ahead. The sofa can easily be transformed into a double bed in less than 30 seconds. The sofa can also be free-standing.
