Neoclassical Coffee Table Maison Jansen, 1950
Iron, Brass, Marble, France
French two-tier brass, iron coffee table with marble top, 1950
Midcentury neoclassical, Empire Revival Coffee Table with black marble and nice brass details. This round forged iron coffee table was probably manufactured by Maison Jansen and executed in the 1950's. The base is made of forged iron with a nice original patina which has faded during the last couple of decades. Four swan necks are peeping underneath the heavy top whereas the brass swan feet are bearing the weight of it all. Both tiers of the table are in good condition with no damages, they show some spots due to age and natural wear. This table is in very good original condition. Dimensions are 35.4" in diameter and 21.6" height.
