Marzio Cecchi Low Coffee Tables, 1970
Pair of Leather Travertine Brass Tables, Italy
A Pair of Low Coffee Tables with Travertine Top by Marzio Cecchi for Studio Most, 1970.
This is a very rare set of white (cru) woven leather coffee tables by Marzio Cecchi. Both are identical and well sized with a diameter of 36" each. Marzio Cecchi is well known for his extraordinary and eclectic designs such as the Diapason steel desk and the iconic Lounge chair Balestra. This table was once produced with leather and rope and hardly pops up in retail. The base is formed like an amphora with 3 solid brass rings dangling from the wider rim. It's covered in interwoven, priorly sewn leather straps, that are covering a steel skeleton. We have priced them individually but will consider a different rate for the pair. The table top is made from a 0.8" thick polished travertine stone table top with rounded corners which is also in very good condition with one small chip on the lower side of the stone table-top.
Dimensions are: 36" x 14.17" (height).
