Dante LaTorre Pair of "Flame" Chairs, Italy, 1960
Dante LaTorre Pair of "Flame" Chairs, Italy, 1960.
Pair of midcentury Italian Flame chairs newly upholstered, 1960s. A pair of very rare and sculptural Pozzi & Verga model ‘2/R’ or ''Flame'' chairs, designed by Dante LaTorre. The chairs are made of bent, laminated rosewood on a black ash frame. They have fixed cushions with a new French cream (ecru) Bouclé wool upholstery. The rosewood has a unique shape and has a bleached finish. A very rare and beautiful set. The chairs are in very good vintage condition, the plywood veneer bent seat has been gently sanded and newly oiled, the new upholstery is from French cream Bouclé (ecru). Only some minor surface wear here and there commensurate with age.
