Wonderful set of 12 dining chairs by Mario Bellini 1980's; 2x cab 413 and 10x cab 412 by Cassina

A set of twelve (12) Italian design icons in black saddle leather, the CAB 412/413 chair by Mario Bellini. If you are in need of larger numbers or smaller ones please inquire. This set consist of a set of 2 captain chairs with arm-rests and 10 standard chairs; perfect for a large-size rectangular table. When first produced in 1977, the CAB was the first chair to feature a free-standing leather structure, inspired by how human skin fits over our skeleton. The leather upholstery is constructed from sixteen pieces of saddle leather, which are individually die-cut and sewn together. The leather is then zippered over the tubular steel frame and the polyurethane foam padded seat. The chair is part of the permanent collection at the New York MoMA. Overall it's a design with elegance and understatement, very comfortable to sit in, while still lightweight. These chairs will last a lifetime. In good vintage condition with normal wear. Each chair is labelled at the bottom.
