Spanish Colonial Curule. Pair of midcentury Mexican mahogany and leather stools, circa 1940-1950. Sold as a pair.
Nice pair of wooden vintage Spanish Colonial Curule stools with original thick leather covers and wrought iron knobs in good condition. It has go a Mexican cowboy feel to it with leather straps and metal applications reminding of of horse saddle. The leather and wood both are in good condition with no damages. Patina and stains are present and reflect time, use and character of these pieces. The metal work is handmade and shows no missing parts. Latin American style and manner of Clara Porset and Luis Barragan. Dimensions are: 24.4" x 15" x 15.7" (height) per stool.
