A rare set of three wall sconces designed by Vinicio Vianello for Vistosi, Italy, 1957.

This sculptural ensemble exemplifies Vianello’s refined approach to mid-century lighting, where Venetian glassmaking traditions converge with a distinctly architectural sensibility. Each sconce is composed of a polygonal blown-glass element in a delicate light green tone with a subtle champagne inflection, its faceted geometry gently modulating the light and enhancing the material’s inherent luminosity. The glass bodies are secured between precisely articulated, nickeled metal brackets whose linear rigor provides a measured counterpoint to the organic vitality of the blown forms.

The mounting structure is designed to be suspended from an E14 socket construction, integrating the functional and decorative aspects into a coherent whole. Each fixture accommodates one E14 bulb and emits a soft, atmospheric illumination; the sconces are fully dimmable, allowing for nuanced control of light intensity.

Preserved in excellent condition, this set of three offers a rare opportunity to acquire a cohesive grouping that reflects the sophisticated dialogue between glass and metal characteristic of Italian design in the late 1950s. Price refers to the complete set of three.
