Pedestal Dining Table Largest Version Aluminum, Mid Century
Poul Cadovius, Denmark, 1960–1969
63" large dining table by Cadovius in wonderful condition, Danish Design 1960's This is a rare and largest version of this round type of dining table by Poul Cadovius, that provides plenty space for 8 chairs. We had it equipped with large Captain chairs from Mario Bellini, cab 413 which are a bit wider per se. The table is in very good condition with only superficial traces of use. It makes a great breakfast or dining table and is comprised of wood with white formica and aluminum. The table was manufactured by France and Sons in the 1960s for Poul Cadovius who also worked with Steen Ostergaard on different versions of this table with marquetry. The pedestal aluminum base was greatly inspired by Eero Saarinen. The table top with its signature aluminum edge is in very good condition. The base shows minor traces of use and an also be polished if that is requested. The table was once equipped with a wooden spacer to give it more height. We left this spacer as is. It can easily be removed. Diameter is 63", height is 28.47" (extended) original height is 27.6"
