Pair of Rope Lounge Chairs
Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet for Vibo, pair of armchairs, beech, rope hemp, France, 1950s. Gorgeous set of 2 identical arm-chairs, mid-century, by renowned French Designers Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet. The seating and backrest are made of woven hemp rope. This naturalistic approach to design and style is typical for the French design of Audoux-Minet (active around 1940-1950 in Marseille). The chairs are in very good vintage condition, the frames are all clean, sturdy and sound, with only some minor surface wear here and there commensurate with age.
