Pair “Alky” Grey Leather Chairs, 1969

A pair of Giancarlo Piretti “Alky” lounge chairs originally upholstered with grey leather, manufactured by Castelli in the 1970s. Great original condition with the foam still being intact and exactly the right amount of sturdiness, the organic shape offers a minimal appearance but also comfort. The construction suggests a solid way of building whereas the weight is relatively low for a lounge chair due to hollow aluminum sections used as a basic frame. It’s rare to find a pair of these in good original condition. We could only find a small damages in form of scratches to the leather, other than that the chairs are perfectly fine for years of use to come. They have been newly treated with a leather conditioner. Dimensions are H.30.7" x W.38.2 x D.29.52". Seating height is 14.17".
