Mario Bellini.

Set of nine (9) original vintage cab 412 (6 pieces) and 413 (3 pieces) by Mario Bellini for Cassina in very good vintage condition.

A set of 9 Italian design icons in red burgundy (oxblood) saddle leather. Consisting of 3x captain chairs cab 413 and 6x cab 412.

When first produced in 1977, the CAB was the first chair to feature a free-standing leather structure, inspired by how human skin fits over our skeleton.

The leather upholstery is constructed from sixteen pieces of saddle leather, which are individually die-cut and sewn together.

The leather is then zippered over the tubular steel frame and the polyurethane foam padded seat.

The chair is part of the permanent collection at the New York MoMA. It is perfect for the dining room, office, or as a side chair.

Overall it's a design with elegance and understatement, very comfortable to sit in, while still lightweight.

These chairs will last a lifetime. In very good vintage condition with hardly any wear. Some more some less.

Each chair is labelled at the bottom, Cassina.
