Armchair designed by Jean Michel Frank in 1932 with one matching ottoman, manufactured by Ecart, acquired in the showroom Jean-Michel Frank in the 1960 and re-upholstered with Rubelli Venezia green velvet fabric.

Great comfort chair and ottoman in wonderful condition.

Jean-Michel remains to be one of the most legendary, prolific and tragic figures in interior design.

Known for his minimalistic forms and radical design approaches as well as use of materials and cooperations with other masters as Diego Giacometti or Adolphe Chanaux.

These 2 pieces have been customized and re-upholstered with some luxurious Rubelli Venezia green velvet fabric, the cost of the fabric alone lies around 3k Dollars.

Both pieces are in very good condition, the cushions are still sturdy and very comfortable. The feet are from varnished oak.
