De Pas, D’Urbino, Lomazzi Lounge Chair Joe DiMaggio, 1980
Glove Chair Red Ultra Suede for Poltronova, Italy
Glove Chair. Baseball glove lounge chair designed by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'urbino
and Paolo Lomazzi for Poltronova, 1980 edition in red ultra suede
Very stylish giant lounge chair designed in homage to Joe DiMaggio. This version is made from originally red ultra suede that faded in time and became a light pink. The measurements are extraordinarily large. We took some pictures close to a 3-seater sofa by Rosselli (confidential sofa) to give an idea of the sheer size. Dimensions: 71" x 46" x 36" - seat height is circa 16". The chair runs on concealed casters. Its a unique piece in good condition with no damages to the leather; the inlayed leather piece between thumb and index finger is missing. Some of the eyelets are loose. It is sturdy and functional and ready to use. It's perfect for lounging and relaxation. Its' iconic aesthetics make it a perfect addition to any contemporary living space, and its durable materials ensure it will last for years to come.
