Audoux Minet Pendant Lamp, 1950
Made from Rope and Brass, France
Audoux Minet Pendant Lamp made from rope and brass. Great scale light with newly rewired electrics. The original shade is made of woven hemp rope and in very good condition.
The last photo shows the effect of the rope shade in almost complete darkness. The naturalistic approach to design and style is typical for the French design of Audoux-Minet (active around 1940-1950 in Marseille). The lamp is in very good vintage condition with only some minor surface wear here and there commensurate with age. We have rewired it, replaced the hardware and gave it a new textile covered cable. Dimensions: 12.6" x 13.77" (height shade only) x- 53" overall height as pictured
