Stilnovo Bruno Gatta Lamp Chandelier Opaline Glass 288 Large Black, Italy 1950-

Dimensions are 35.5" x 35.5"x 43.3" Early vintage original large chandelier with 8 light sources designed by Bruno Gatta produced for Stilnovo.

It curiously resembles the famous BRPR light produced for Arteluce around the same time.

Round shaped interconnected black and white ceiling lights make this rare chandelier stick out and add a great graphical contrast to any room that requires a stand-out piece of lighting feature. The bottom parts are closed off with opaline glass circles, the metal-work is painted aluminum and brass bits to hold the glass in place. In the center you'll find a hollow brass ring that conceals the wiring.

The chandelier is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks or bumps. The original bases we have cleaned at our workshop, they are also in good condition. The original lacquer is still in place and shows minor wear here and there. We can replace the black cables with transparent ones if requested.

Each of the 8 lights have 3 light bulbs with e14 sockets and 40W per bulb (120W per light x 8 = 960W in total). Led's are recommended due to heat emission and climate kept in mind.

Bruno Gatta founded the Stilnovo publishing house in 1946 in Lainate, an industrial suburb of Milan.
