Gino Sarfatti Floor Lamp , model 1045 for Arteluce , Italy designed 1948
Designed in 1948 this example probably dates from the 1950’s and shows the rawest version of this famous articulate floor light with aluminum shade and blackened, nickeled brass base.
The black enameled metal base with its adjustable supporting upper arm in nickel plated brass is adjustable in height between 39″ – 63″ approximately.
A simple hook mechanism allows very simple height adjustment , the upper arm section is connected via a pivoting knuckle meaning the shade can be tilted back and forward as shown.
