Brutalist Oak Coffee Table.
Mid-century 34.25“ carved oak table from French oak, circa 1950
Impressive brutalist handmade coffee table in the manner of Jean Touret and Atelier Marolles. The table is made of solid French oak. It's in very good vintage condition showing all the typical elements of a brutalist design movement. The thick round top is carved which gives it a rustic look it is attached to the base with visible joints and wrought iron details, rings. In the middle of the top you can find a small compartment which is covered by a wooden lit with a cast iron ring. The base is also made of solid oak and is decorated with four cast iron rings.carved surface and wrought iron details. It's beautifully done by hand and very tactile.
Dimensions are: 34.25" x 18.11" (height).
